 | 09:04 am I didn't mind the joker icons, until someone did it to one of mine (which was credited to someone else and I didn't point it out before because I don't care so much) and now it makes me sad. I liked that icon! I was proud of it! I was happy to see someone using it places like ONTD even if they didn't credit me, but now it's jokerised. *pout*

| 08:39 pm - 3 Children;s illutrated mysteries
I read these three books when i was much younger. They were British mysteries and they were illustrated. One was about a marsh. The townspeople think there is a killer on the loose but the culprit turns out to be the marsh gases. A botanist is confused by delirious victims as the killer.
The next is about a mansion and two siblings a boy and a girl being send off to visit their distant relatives. There they encounter mysterious happenings including a clock going off at strange hours I believe. The killer turns out to be the butler who was actualy the heir to the fortune but gambled it all away.
The last is about a mysterious painting with a woman in a red cape. she is smiling but her posture often changes. they say she leads ships to their death. They can tell by the way her picture is. There is a man who specializes in creating antiques. he duplicates them.
All of these books have intricate illustrations and are full of "red herrings". They have clues at the end of the book and the detailed answer on the the guilty party is and why. Anyone who knows these I would be so grateful. I have all this from memory but no titles or author. i'm pretty sure it was a series but with different characters each tiem.

 | 01:59 pm You know, when scrolling through my f-list and coming across an icon post from a specific person/fandom related community, I kind of expect the teasers to involve the person/fandom. Not just random people.
As well as that, there was a massive list of all the other fandoms the person had included and only 4 of the actual fandom they were posting to *headsdesk*
At least one teaser of that person would have been nice! Current Mood: confused

 | 10:39 pm - 20 - vulgar excuses for monikers and boy names Caemlyn.
Why. WHY. WHY.
Man, we'd been rid of her for ages, and now it's back to "Caemlyn Mercy Felicity or Caemlyn Felicity Rachel WDYTO MY BARELY DIFFERENT AND ALL VISUALLY OFFENSIVE COMBOS." Arrrgggh. I am not here to justify to you your Frankenstein method of honouring your relatives, and neither is anyone else. Either chop up their names and paste them together anew and own the fact that you're doing it, or don't do it at all. Don't ask us if it's okay.
OT note to self and others--watch this movie Young @ Heart about an old people choir that sings Sonic Youth and the like. It sounds awesome. Okay. Back to names.
I should maybe acquire some more boy names I'm interested in. Boy names are so hard. I think it's hereditary; my mother only really liked one boy name, too. Maybe I should just adopt that into the mix of what I've got--imagine brothers Morpheus, Matthew, and Lucien. >> Damn you, Neil Gaiman, and your characters-who-make-me-love-their-names.
I'm just...not very interested in names for boys at the moment aside from the ones I already have. Suppose that's all right, since it's not like I'm going to be having children any time soon, lawl. It just makes for a boring "Omg, it's top ten time!" when the girls at least have some variation, and the boys remain Morpheus-Ptolemy-Edmond-Nathaniel-Lucien-Simon in different orders.
I'm going off Simon a bit at the moment, though. And I think it's getting to be time to strike a few off my list for girls, too, but I'm loathe to do so (because like Robert Frost, I doubted if I should ever come back). That'll have to be another post, another time. Current Location: living room computer! Current Mood: sleepy Current Music: ads on the TV

( Fandom stuff: Poly, Chrono Crusade and Tutu fanfic musings )
Okay, now that I got THAT out of the way: I was actively ignoring this meme ("i'm too busy" blah blah), but then Caleb did it so I had to comment, so now I'm gonna do it. ("distracts from THE LAUNDRY")
Comment and I will associate you with: 1) A fandom 2) An anime/manga character 3) A color 4) A song; then I will tell you why I love you~
Shoot, the icon I chose made me remember I need to work on icon posts...somehow...sometime... Current Mood: indifferent

 | 02:07 pm - Hancock I usually don't comment on movies...mainly because most movies are crap these days, but I have to comment on this one.
Saw the adverts on TV: slapstick stupidity Saw the trailer: maybe a little funny...maybe Saw the movie: Quel surprise!
Hancock...to blow my tiny mind was the best, funniest movie I have seen in a long, long time and not slapstick funny either. It was more of a clever funny with a twist you don't see coming...and who can say that about movies these days? It's not dark and grim and anarchic like Batman will be (cannot wait for the Joker), but I was damn surprised at how much I laughed and how fun it was (without dropping to the level of 'stupid' humor.) It even had a few serious moments. Not to mention I'm not much of a Will Smith fan, but I even liked him. I've never seen a movie that adverts didn't do it justice. It's usually the other way around. You get sucked in by the advert and then the movie is godawful.
Hancock, you could do a helluva lot worse.
Prison scene: HA!
